Papas Bar (then located in Sekalla / now situated in Hurghada Marina) was founded in 1998 by some Dutch friends who became great drinking partners first, and fantastic business partners second. The bar’s cafe-brown image gained immense popularity deeming it a huge success with both locals and tourists alike. After joining forces with a young British entrepreneur the Papas team spread the winning recipe to the second venue Papas II in downtown a few years later.
Not too long after, Papas launched the beachside Liquid Lounge (since taken over by the world’s first and only Hed_Kandi_Beach_Bar), and the infamous Papas Beach Club (now licensed by the international clubbing brand Ministry_of_Sound_Egypt). The latest addition is the equally popular and newly opened Papas Island (Abu Tig Marina, El Gouna).
As pioneers in Hurghada’s nightlife for bars, lounge areas and nightclubs, Papas is the name that shouts FUN (often in a slightly slurred manor and occasionally muffled by the European music selection and cheering noises of the Papas’ punters)!
